About His Will for My Life: Conclusion
Crucibles
In context of this writing a crucible is defined as “a very significant and difficult trial or test.” One of the most difficult trials for me has been to see and experience the lack of support and resources to help counselors, teachers, pastors, leaders, and church members assist Christians dealing with domestic violence and related issues. Consequently, the escalation of emotional and mental disorders resulting from unresolved issues connected to child abuse, domestic violence, sexual abuse and related abuse are increasing in Christian families and relationships. The test for me is not to get discouraged but move forward with the mission. His message is that I continue to support comprehensive religious programs and services that provide safety and education for victims as well as perpetrators. These programs and services should appropriately address the causes, effects, treatment and prevention of family violence in Christian. Religious organizations in order to end the intergenerational cycle of abuse.
About Transitioning
For over 44 years I volunteered in partnership with my pastor husband. He recently retired. The responsibility of being a pastor’s wife had its challenges, but it was a blessing and privilege to be in that role. Making the transition from being a pastor’s wife to becoming a regular wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, friend and church member has been liberating, invigorating, revitalizing and stimulating!
His messages to me are very clear: Mable, your mission continues. Your passion continues. Your commitment to help build up My kingdom continues. Your faith in Me continues. Your best, ultimate and permanent transition will come when we meet face to face.
“Face to face shall I behold Him
Far beyond the starry sky
Face to face in all His glory
I shall see Him by and by.”
